Synopsis: For seventeen years, Eloise Hart had no idea the world of Faery even existed. Now she has been abducted and trapped in the Rath of Lord Strahan, King of Faery. Strahan was only meant to rule for seven years, as Faery tradition dictates, and then give up his crown to another. But he won't comply, and now chaos threatens both worlds. The only one who can break his stranglehold on the Faery court is his wife, Eloise's aunt, Antonia. Using Eloise to lure Antonia, Strahan captures his wife, desperate to end the only threat to his reign. Together with her best friends Jo and Devin, Eloise must place her trust in Lucas, her handsome protector, and Strahan's mysterious son, Eldric, and forge alliances with other Fae in a dangerous attempt to free Antonia for ever.

As you know I really like to Read this authors’’ books and this isn’t an exception. At first I had an impression that the whole book has nothing to do with the paranormal stuff. To be honest this impression doesn’t wear off vey easily and stays with you for a dozen or so pages. Nevertheless the paranormal thread exists in this book moreover it’s pretty interesting.

The main character in the text is Eloise Hart just normal teenager with a best girl and boy friends. The story starts with a strange occurrence. Trio of friends is sitting on the car park near an ice cream parlour. Then unexpectedly a handsome boy is heading in their direction. Standing by them he knees and asks Eloise to come with him because now they can see her. Strange, isn’t it? She takes him as some creep and leaves. In future events she meets him couple more times in some unexpected moments and locations. One time he shows up on her balcony bringing her a necklace with a deer. The next meeting isn’t as good because the girl is being kidnapped by Lord Strahan to Faery land. And all this happened to her because she is Antonia’s niece.

Eloise doesn’t know what is going on, but the stay in Faery explains it all. Then suddenly her aunt shows up to save her. After these events the plot goes on faster.

For the good sides of the book I can count how the book was written. It has two narrators, Eloise and her friend Jo. This introduce an interesting element to the plot because the lots of both of them aren’t always connected. Second thing I would count is the love thread being the side thread. Other things I admired are well polished up characters. Last but not least I like the ending and the plot turn right before it. Who would think of that?

However there are some tings I didn’t like. Firstly, in some parts the events were happening so fast I couldn’t keep track of them. Towards the end it became a little bit predicable but as I already said the ending was unexpected.

To sum up, the book is well written however I wouldn’t classify it as one of my favourites about faery. It is definitely worth you attention. I would recommend it for people that like light paranormal stories as well as teenagers. But that doesn’t mean I don’t encourage other people to read it.
